With the focus on HSMAIto provide hotel professionals and their partners with tools,insights and expertise to fuel sales, inspire marketing and optimize revenue through the various membeiship events,the focus during the past two months has been on the finalising the plans for the annual conferences being held in each chapter area.The first conference was held in Sydney in mid July and over 60 members and firends gathered to hear mors about "Fuel Sales,Inspire Marketing,Optimise Revenue",which was the overall theme of the Sydney Forum. There was an interesting session on"Daily Deals"with the debate on whether these flash sales are beneficial to hospitality industry and Groupon Australia was on hand with a video presentation. The ability to learn from HSMAI programmes and to gain relevant plus current market intelligence is a wonderful benefit of HSMAI Asia Pacific membeiship.With partnership support form sabre Hospitality Solutions,IDeaS,Travelclick,Abacus,Groupon,and Wego,all chapters in the HSMAI Asia Pacific Region have been able to develop some great conference programmes in 2011.
